Juan C. Bofill is no ordinary Stunts & FX Coordinator. With 49 years of mastery in Goju Ryu Karate and a certified 7th-degree black belt, Juan is a 3x world-renowned martial arts champion. His extensive training in disciplines like Aikido, Kobudo, Iaido, Jui Jitsu, and Judo (4th-degree black belt) elevates his fight choreography to an art form.
Juan’s career began in the early 1990s, parallel to his 24-year tenure as a Police Commander. During this time, he earned a master’s degree in criminal justice, Served 19 years in SWAT as an Entry team member and Snipe,r and achieved Instructor Certification in Defensive Tactics, Tactical Driving, Firearms, Explosives, and much more. After retiring from law enforcement, Juan transitioned full-time to the entertainment industry, contributing to iconic productions such as Miami Vice, CSI Miami, Burn Notice, Bad Boys, and Iron Man.
